Albanese government ‘does not believe telegraphing’ intent will help Julian Assange

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says the Albanese government “does not believe telegraphing its representations” will help imprisoned Wikileaks founder Julian Assange.

Mr Assange is due to be extradited from the United Kingdom to the United States, where he will serve time in prison.

“There are several things that can be lobbied for here: for the charges to be thrown out, a presidential pardon or that any sentence for a crime occurs in Australia,” he told Sky News Australia.Read More
